To obtain a mottled woven fabric with uniformly distributed mottled stripes and having high quality and natural body feeling, designability and surface appearance by using a combined filament yarn such as a yarn composed of a cation-dyeable polyester fiber as a warp or a weft of a woven fabric and dyeing the fabric to different colors.
A fluid-processed combined filament yarn consisting of a yarn A composed of a polyester fiber dyeable with a cationic dye and a yarn B composed of a polyamide fiber dyeable with an acid dye is used as a warp and/or a weft of a woven fabric. When the mottled stripe formed by the yarn A on one surface of the woven fabric is observed by the unit of the fluid processed combined filament yarn to measure the width WM of the mottled stripe developed on the surface of the combined filament yarn and the width W of the surface of the combined filament yarn, the lengths LA and LD satisfy the frequency distribution of the formula I and the total length of LA to LD satisfies the formula II, wherein LA, LB, LC and LD are defined as the longitudinal lengths of the parts satisfying the following relationships 0.7W<WM (LA), 0.5W<WM≤0.7W (LB), 0.3W<WM≤0.5W (LC) and WM≤0.3W (LD), respectively.
