To provide a woven fabric for paper manufacture having improved abrasion resistance and surface properties by firmly bonding a woven fabric layer of the paper-manufacturing side to a woven fabric layer of the traveling surface side.
The woven fabric 1A for paper manufacture is composed of a woven fabric layer 2 of the paper-manufacturing side consisting of the warp 21 for the paper-manufacturing side and the weft 22 for the paper-manufacturing side and a woven fabric layer 3 of the traveling surface side consisting of the warp 31 for the traveling surface side and the weft 32 for the traveling surface side. Both layers are bonded together by a bonding weft 4, all wefts 22 for the paper-manufacturing side are woven with the warp 31 for the traveling surface side to form a bonding part 5 and the bonding weft 4 is woven with the warp 21 for the paper-manufacturing side. The woven fabric layer 2 of the paper-manufacturing side is firmly bonded to the woven fabric layer 3 of the traveling surface side by the bonding weft 4 and the bonding part 5. The degradation of the surface appearance can be prevented by the formation of the bonding part 5 by weaving the bonding weft 4 with the warp 21 for the paper-manufacturing side in the bonding part 5.
