To obtain a woven fabric for papermaking improved in strength in weaving joining parts by weaving a weft yarn arranged in each of the top, middle and bottom layers from a warp yarn in a single layer and forming a design on the papermaking surface and a design on the running surface.
A warp yarn comprising a polyester monofilament having a high rigidity and a low elongation and a weft yarn, comprising a nylon or the polyester monofilament and arranged in three layers of the top, middle and bottom weft yarns are used to form one design on the running surface of long crimps in which each warp yarn is passed under one bottom weft yarn and woven thereinto by a complete weave. Two designs on the papermaking surface in which each warp yarn is passed through a space between the top weft yarns and the middle weft yarns or between the middle weft yarns and the bottom weft yarns and further passed over the two mutually adjacent top weft yarns and woven thereinto are then formed to thereby weave a woven fabric for papermaking having a single warp yarn and triple weft yarn structure. Furthermore, auxiliary top weft yarns may be arranged between the top weft yarns in order to further smooth the papermaking surface and auxiliary middle weft yarns may be arranged under the auxiliary top weft yarns and between the middle weft yarns in order to increase the rigidity in the weft direction.
