To provide a woven fabric having a high impact strength, less in unevenness in the impact strength, having a good productivity, and capable of thinning its thickness, a protective materials, and a buried pipe excellent in impact resistance.

This woven fabric is a multiply woven fabric 2 obtained by using warp yarns 11, 14 of a flat yarn made of a thermoplastic resin and weft yarns 12, 15 of a split yarn made of a thermoplastic resin, and is the woven fabric 2 of a double-structure, having an upper layer 13 of a twill weave going upwardly sloping and a lower layer 16 of the twill weave downwardly sloping. The protective material by using this fabric and the buried pipe wound with this protecting material are also provided.
