To provide a woven fabric for a tire which is capable of ensuring air-non-permeability performance and rim chafing resistance performance, and has improved productivity.
The woven fabric 11 for the tire is a cord fabric obtained by weaving warp yarns 13 mutually doubled parallel with weft yarns 14 nearly perpendicular to the warp yarns 13. Furthermore, the warp yarns 13 are composed of 1 to 21 filaments, and has a woven fabric strength S of 783 (N) which obtained by multiplying the tenacity (N/yarn) of the warp yarns 13 at break by ends (yarns/5 cm) being the number of the warp yarns 13 contained per 5 (cm) width of the woven fabric 11 for the tire. The weft yarn 14 is formed by twisting 10 to 32 filaments having a fineness of 5 to 34 (dtex) together and the total fineness of the weft yarn is 185 to 470 (dtex).
