To provide a self-expandable relocatable device for use as a stent having a structure closed at both ends thereof, an occluder, or filter.
An self-expandable woven intravascular device 160 for use as the stent, the filter or the occluder may be formed shape memory metal or biodegradable materials. Delivery for the device includes two hollow tubes that operate coaxially. A device is secured to the tubes prior to the implantation and delivery of the device One end of the device may be secured to the outside of the inner tube, and the other ends (162, 164) of the device may be secured to the outside of an outer tube. The device may be formed from a single wire. The device may be formed by either hand or machine weaving. A body 160 of the device may be created by bending the shape memory wire around tab projecting from a template, and weaving the ends 170 of the wire such that the wire cross each other to form a plurality of angles, at least one of the angles being obtuse. The value of the obtuse angle may be increased by axially compressing the body.
