Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent the fraying at both side edges of a wire net.
CONSTITUTION: Two pieces of adjacent warp wires 2-4, 2-5 of every prescribed spacing in the transverse direction of the wire net are opened to both sides in the parts of reeds 6 and are passed into another pass ports adjacent to both sides thereof, by which the plane weave wire net provided with the parts wider in the spacings between the warp wires than the spacings between the other warp wires at every prescribed spacing and formed with fraying stoppers 9 by proximity of two pieces of the warp wires 2-3 and 2-4 as well as 2-5 and 2-6 on both sides of these wide parts is produced. The weft wires of the wide parts are cut by cutting edges 17, by which the tape-like plain wire net formed with the fraying stoppers at both side edges is produced.
