Abstract:

To change the size of a container in a short time and correctly from the viewpoint of quality and safety when such a change is made.

The wrapping machine has a plurality of mandrels 51, 52, radially extended, onto which a cylindrical blank B is sheathed and further, is equipped with an intermittently driven rotor 31 having the mandrels 51, 52 arranged in such a manner that the mandrels 51, 52 are sequentially stopped at a plurality of fabricating stations and a group of devices 32 which fold and close the end part, which becomes the bottom part of a container, of the blank B sheathed onto the mandrels 51, 52 arranged at the specified fabricating stations. All the mandrels 51, 52 are constituted so that they are of a varying size to meet the blank B differing in size.
