Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wrench manufacturing process by which waste of a material and a manufacturing cost are reduced and a processing time is shortened, whereby a processing efficiency can be enhanced.SOLUTION: According to this process, at a preparation step 41, a round bar-shaped metal blank is thermally treated and is so made as to be in a high temperature softened state, and further, rolling processing of the metal blank is performed, whereby the metal blank is so formed as to have a slender flat shape. Next, at an initial forging step 42, forging of a part of the metal blank is performed thereby forming a rod body area, and a head part area having a width wider than that of the rod body area. Next, at a first end head stamping step 43, forging of the head part area is performed thereby so making an outer shape thereof as to have an arcuate appearance. Finally, at a finishing step 44, stamping of the head part area is performed again thereby removing an excess material, and stamping formation of a lock part for a locked object is formed thereby obtaining a wrench after formation.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
