Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify the job and to increase the reliability, by writing in the servo information through the use of read/write unit of the magnetic disc unit. CONSTITUTION:When the servo information XR and the length measuring output XL from the laser length measuring system are compared, the difference is input to the servo motor control circuit 25 of the magnetic disc unit itself through the A/D converter 24 especially provided to control the power amplifier 26, and when the bobbin 9 providing the magnetic head position detecting shaft 13 via the voice coil motor VCM27 is driven, the magnetic head 12 is moved via the carriage 6 and arm 11. Based on the information by the reference clock pulse to each servo band and track, the specified servo information is written in the servo disc 2' from the head 12. When this write-in is finished, and when the shaft 13 is removed from the carriage 6 and the disc enclocsure 1 is removed, it can be used as usual disc unit. Thus, the job can be simplified and the reliability can be increased.
