PURPOSE: To prevent the collapse of characters at the time when a brush-nose shape is thick and the scantiness of characters at the time when the brush-nose shape is thin by selecting a code value on the brush drawing device side in conformity with a level value displaying the size of the brush nose section incorporated into a writing brush type pen.
CONSTITUTION: Movement magnification KZ in the direction Z to a reference value is determined by the size of characters drawn and code values while using reference magnification proper to the size of characters drawn and being multiplied to the movement in the direction Z of drawing data as a reference value. The movement magnification KZ is specified by selecting the code value, and the level value of a writing brush type pen previously determined by measurement and the code value are collated, thus allowing the drawing of characters composed of the number of strokes having standard size. When the code value is selected, another code value is selected without conforming the level value of the writing brush type pen previously determined by measurement and the code value, thus drawing the number of strokes constituting characters drawn thickly or thinly in response to preference, the object of usage, etc.
