To provide an X-ray diagnostic device, where the X-ray irradiation area center is easily adjusted to the examination part of a subject's body and his or her other parts are prevented from unnecessary X-ray exposure.
The device is provided with a top plate where a subject is placed, an X-ray tubular bulb to irradiate him or her with X rays, an X-ray detector arranged at the side opposite to the X-ray tubular bulb beyond the top plate for detecting X rays having penetrated the subject's body, a pair of aperture stop members provided between the top plate and the X-ray tubular bulb to narrow down the detection range of the X-ray detector in both longitudinal and lateral directions to form an X-ray irradiation area on the X-ray detector, an aperture stop drive to drive the individual aperture stop members, and an aperture stop member controller that receives the information of distance and direction to move the irradiation area center, controls the aperture stop drive on the movements of individual aperture stops to form an irradiation area center concentric with the one before movements.
