PURPOSE: To allow the checking of the contents of incidental information before imprinting without entailing a cost increase as there is no need for additionally preparing a display means by providing a switching means which switches and outputs the incidental information or diagnostic image.
CONSTITUTION: A card sensor 3 detects the correct setting of a card 1 in correct disposition and outputs this detection signal to an image memory 4. The card image photographed by a 1st television camera 2 at this timing is written into the image memory 4. The detection signal is simultaneously outputted to a timer 18 as well and, therefore, the timer 18 starts operating by the prescribed time which is preset. Namely, both an OR gate 19 and an AND gate 21 operate and, therefore, a video switch 15 is so controlled as to be switched to the image memory 4 side. The card image or diagnostic image can selectively be displayed simply by preparing just one unit of a monitor 17 by providing the video switch 15 and, therefore, the contents of the card information are checked before imprinting on an X-ray film 6 without entailing the cost increase.
