PURPOSE: To provide an X-ray image detection film having a high resolution and an expanded dynamic range by arraying one layer of the same type of atoms on the surface thereof and forming an X-ray image via the release of atoms in an X-ray irradiated section.
CONSTITUTION: When an X-ray is irradiated in the directions of arrows 3, fluorine atoms in a section (a) exposed to the X-ray are released in the directions of arrows 4, among fluorine atom layers laid on the surface of a film 101. Furthermore, oxygen atoms are adsorbed, when fluorine atoms are released. On the other hand, fluorine atoms in a section (b) not exposed to the X-ray are not released. Thus, the X-ray image of a material as a detection object is formed on the film 101. This X-ray image has a very high resolution, and is even capable of attaining an atomic level of development. Also, as the elementary process of X-ray image detection is for the release of atoms or for atomic level, a dynamic range capable of maintaining sensitivity linearity can be expanded.
