To provide an X-ray imaging apparatus that performs changing the irradiation direction of an X-ray tube by loosing restriction of a space and improving operability thereof.

The X-ray imaging apparatus includes: an X-ray tube 1 for irradiating a subject with X-rays; an X-ray detector 3 for detecting the X-rays passed through the subject; a C-shaped arm 4 formed in a C-shape for supporting the X-ray tube 1 and the X-ray detector 3. The C-shaped arm 4 has a detachable mount part 4 provided to mount any of the X-ray tube 1 and the X-ray detector 3, and a weight 6 for balancing the weight between the X-ray tube 1 and the X-ray detector 3 which is provided on the C-shaped arm 4 movably.
