The X-ray inspecting apparatus comprises an X-ray tube 1 applied with a tube voltage V and a tube current I and generating X-rays, an imaging means 3 for imaging the X-rays having permeated an inspected body 6, and an image display means 15 for displaying the photographed image obtained by the imaging means 3. The X-ray inspecting apparatus comprises a brightness display means 15 for displaying the brightness information L, having correlation with the picked-up image 3 corresponding to the tube voltage V and tube current I, a command means 18 for commanding the tube voltage V and tube current I corresponding to the brightness information L, by selecting the desired brightness information L displayed by the brightness display means 15, and an application means 2 for applying a tube voltage V0 and a tube current I0 commanded by the command means 18.
