Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable an X-ray tube to produce high-energy X-rays over a wide spectrum range by containing a material capable of also generating M radiation that can be used effectively in the production of an X-ray having an effective wavelength range for X-ray analysis. CONSTITUTION: When an analytical device is constructed of X-ray tubes 1, the X-ray tube 1 comprises a sample table 30, a mounting plate 32, and a housing 36 having a plurality of measurement channels 42, 44, and the X-ray tubes 1 are arranged in symmetry with respect to a sample 40 to be examined. Each of the channels is provided with an incident sleeve 46, an analytical crystal 48, and a detector 50, and an X-ray beam is applied to the sample 40 from a radiation window 6. For an anode 14, an anode target plate 19 of Tr, Pa, U, or the like capable of also producing M radiation is used to produce a wide effective wavelength range; i.e., a U-continuous X-ray radiation spectrum as shown by the curve 50, the absorption rate of a beryllium window as shown by the curve 52, and a spectrum as shown by the curve 54 are produced.
