This X-ray tube comprises a conductive metabolized layer 11 on the surface of a stem 3. In manufacturing the X-ray tube 1, due to the metabolized layer 11, the thermal feasibility of a solder material A installed between the stem and the lower end part 8a of a focusing electrode 8 is improved. Moreover, since the metallized layer 11 is extended from the lower end part 8a of the focusing electrode 8 to a cathode pin 5a in the lower voltage side, the electric continuity of the lower voltage side of the focusing electrode 8 and the cathode pin 5a is performed on the surface 3a of the stem 3. Consequently, mutual connection of the focusing electrode 8 and the cathode pin 5a is completed simultaneously with the completion of the X-ray tube 1 without requiring an extra wiring work after assembly of the X-ray tube 1.
