Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R is alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxycarbonyl, etc.).
EXAMPLE: 1-(4'-ethoxycarbonyloxyphenyl)-4-(4'-methoxyphenyl)-2,3-diisocyano-1,3- butadiene.
USE: Antineoplastic agents. Low toxic and having greatly high proliferation- inhibiting activity against solid tumors inhibisory by only few medicines.
PREPARATION: According to the reaction formula, a reaction is made between (A) xanthocillin X monomethyl ether of formula 2 and (B) a halogen derivative of formula 3 (X is halogen) in an appropriate solvent (e.g. DMF, methylene chloride, acetone) in the presence of an appropriate base such as K2CO3 or triethylamine to obtain the objective compound of the formula I.
