Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yarn breakage detector for a spinning machine which enables a sensor to be arranged at an attachment position eliminating the need for the position adjustment of the sensor even when a ring diameter is changed and at an attachment position not obstructing piecing operation during piecing yarns.SOLUTION: The yarn breakage detector detects a traveler 13 which is made of a magnetic material and travels on a ring 12 fixed to a ring plate 11, thereby detecting the presence or absence of yarn breakage. The yarn breakage detector is provided on the ring plate 11 and includes: a permanent magnet 14 capable of magnetizing the traveler 13 traveling on the ring 12; and a magnetic sensor 15 using a magnetic impedance element for detecting the magnetism of the magnetized traveler 13.
