Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent as much as possible the contamination of the light-projecting surface of a light projector and the light-receiving surface of a light receiver caused by the vibration (displacement) of a yarn in a vertical direction in a yarn traveling path, thereby preventing the erroneous detection of yarn breakage, in a yarn breakage sensor for a creel device, in particular, in a yarn breakage sensor which is provided for each yarn feeder so that the yarn drawn out from the yarn feeder travels in the yarn traveling path demarcated by a pair of facing surfaces provided so as to face each other in the vertical direction, and which includes the light projector provided so as to be exposed on one of the facing surfaces and the light receiver provided so as to be exposed on the other of the facing surfaces and face the light projector.SOLUTION: A yarn breakage sensor includes a yarn guide which is provided on at least the upstream side of an upstream side and a downstream side with respect to a yarn traveling path, and which has a pair of restriction surfaces facing each other in a vertical direction. A space between the pair of restriction surfaces is equal to or less than 1/2 of a space between a pair of facing surfaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
