In a pick finding device, while a spinning cop is between a position just before pick-finding the yarn end and a position just before inserting the yarn end into the bobbin top hole, a yarn cast-off preventing auxiliary fitting that pressure supports the yarn layer circumference of the spinning cop is mounted on the pick finding device. Preferably, the fitting comprises a body to be mounted on the pick finding device, a shaft body that is mounted on the body and is rotatable about an axis approximately parallel to the axial direction of the spinning cop, a bar-shaped body that is extending in a radial direction approximately perpendicular to the axial direction of the shaft body, and is supporting the yarn layer circumference of the spinning cop, pressing means for applying a pre-determined pressure to the supporting direction of the bar-shaped body, and stopping means for stopping the bar-shaped body in a pre-determined position during absence of the spinning cop.
