PURPOSE: To obtain yarn for cloth capable of suppressing the occurrence of fluff in weaving by blending a specific aqueous acrylic size with a specific amount of a wax emulsion and applying the resultant size in a specified amount to splittable type conjugate fiber.

CONSTITUTION: The objective yarn is obtained by blending (A) a water-soluble acrylic size modified with a water-soluble polyester with (B) a natural wax and/or a synthetic wax having ≥50°C melting point and 10-200 saponification value at (25-75)/(75-25) ratio of the components [(A)/(B)], and applying the resultant size in an amount of ≥4wt.% to splittable type conjugate fiber (fiber, having a flat cross section and constructed from multilayered splittable components). Furthermore, the aforementioned yarn is used as warp yarn for cloth.
