Abstract:
To provide a yarn configuration measuring apparatus of a multifilament for precisely and efficiently detecting a width between single yarns which affects the fabric quality while keeping the yarn configuration close to that in a fabric processing state, and to provide a yarn configuration measuring method.SOLUTION: The yarn configuration measuring apparatus of a multifilament in the present invention is a yarn configuration measuring apparatus for a width between single yarns of a yarn of a multifilament. The apparatus comprises optical measurement means that draws out a yarn comprising a multifilament at a fixed speed, runs the yarn while applying a predetermined tension thereto, and measures a width between single yarns located at outermost both ends in a group of single yarns of the yarn. The optical measurement means comprises a light projecting part that irradiates a yarn to be measured with light and a detecting part that detects an amount of light applied. A plurality of photodetectors are arranged to detect positional information on a change of an amount of light blocked by a single yarn or a group of single yarns one by one, and detect an amount of light applied for continuously measuring a width between most-distant single yarns from detected positions of a single yarn or a group of single yarns.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
