Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject device not influenced by yarn unevenness, equipped with a sensor of detecting thickness of traveling yarn, a means of extracting an extraordinary signal from signals of the sensor, a means of integrating the extraordinary signal and a means of driving a yarn cutter based on a defect indicating signal.
CONSTITUTION: In a yarn defect detecting device of detecting defect of yarn while being sent from a fine spinning frame and wound by a winder or of traveling yarn in other weaving process, the device is equipped with a sensor means 14 of detecting thickness of traveling yarn T, a means 16 of distinguishing an extraordinary signal separated from a given sensitivity level from detected signals of thickness and extracting only the extraordinary signal, an integrating means 18 (moving average) of converting the extraordinary signal to an integrated signal integrated in the length direction and a cutting driving means 20 of operating a cutter means 21 by detecting a defect indicating signal getting off a given sensitivity level among the integrated signals to discover yarn defects without being influenced by yarn unevenness before and behind of the defect part of yarn.
