To provide a yarn end processing apparatus by which a success rate of yarn end processing is improved by improving a bobbin rotating mechanism.
The yarn end processing apparatus 11 includes: the bobbin rotating mechanism 24 rotating a yarn feeding bobbin 15; a searcher 25 engaged with and catching a back wind yarn 22 wound around an outer periphery of the yarn feeding bobbin 15 under being rotated; and a rotation control part 33 controlling the bobbin rotating mechanism 24. A drive source of the bobbin rotating mechanism 24 is a stepping motor 30. By adopting the stepping motor 30 as the drive source to rotate the yarn feeding bobbin 15, a minor adjustment in a rotational speed of the yarn feeding bobbin 15 is made possible. Consequently, the back wind yarn 22 can be caught more surely. Further, even when the yarn is entangled with a rotary part of the bobbin rotating mechanism 24 causing rotation failure, the motor is prevented from being damaged since the stepping motor 30 steps out.
