PURPOSE: To safely and surely take out a yarn end which is temporarily fixed to the outer circumferencial face of a package by blowing compressed air in the releasing direction of the cut yarn from a package after cutting yarn on the other side of yarn continuing to the package and then rotating the package in the yarn winding direction.
CONSTITUTION: After a suction nozzle 9 is lowered, a confounding yarn end (ya) is sucked and at the same time a package(P) is rotated in the yarn winding direction by a prescribed quantity. When yarn suction is confirmed by the suction nozzle 9, the suction nozzle 9 is raised so that the last winding yarn is made to float up from the package(P). The yarn (yb) in one side of the yarn continuing to the package(P) is cut by a cutter 14 and the cut yarn is sucked by rotating the package(P) in the yarn releasing direction. After rotating it by a prescribed quantity, the yarn on the other side is cut by a cutter 15 and at the same time compressed air is blown from the nozzle 30 in the direction that the cut yarn is released from the package(P) so that the free end of the cut yarn is trailed out in the releasing direction. After that, the package(P) is rotated in the winding direction and the free end of the yarn is set in the hung state.
