PURPOSE: To prevent toubles in yarn ending to be generated in a two-ply spinning machine by installing yarn detecting sensors in a yarn passage before and after each yarn ending unit, and performing yarn ending action only when all sensors detect yarn before starting the yarn ending action.

CONSTITUTION: A yarn ending device for a spinning machine has a first yarn ending unit 1 for ending a first yarn Y, and a second yarn ending unit 2 for ending a second yarn Y, and respective yarn ending units 1, 2 have yarn detecting sensors SE1, SE2, SE3, SE4 in the yarn passage before and after it enters the units 1, 2. The yarn detecting sensors SE1, SE2, SE3, SE4 are connected to a control circuit 4 through an AND circuit 3 respectively, and when a correct yarn connection is not performed based on existence/non- existence of signal to the control circuit 4, a cutter circuit 6 for operating a cutter 5 is actuated, thereby yarn connection is performed only when all sensors SE1-SE4 detect existence of yarn.
