Abstract:
Provided is a yarn package whereby no thread end or winding collapse can be prevented and the occurrence of fluff in a woven fabric or the like manufactured using unwound yarn can be suppressed. A yarn package 1 comprises a bobbin 2 and a yarn 3 wound onto the bobbin 2. A first winding part 7 and a second winding part 8 having a cylindrical shape are provided. The second winding part 8 comprises a lower cylindrical part 9 and an upper truncated-cone-shaped part 10. A starting end part of the second winding part 8 is continuous with a terminal end part of the first winding part 7, and the height of a lower end of the first winding part 7 and the height of a lower end of the second winding part 8 from a bottom part 4 of the bobbin 2 are essentially the same, the ratio of the overall height H2 of the second winding part 8 to the overall height H1 of the first winding part 7 is 96.0-99.9%, and the bobbin surface coverage is 75% or greater.
