Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the title yarn for ropes, fishing nets, etc., to be in contact with sea water for a long period of time by using melt or a solution of a hydrophilic resin containing a metallic salt compound of a specific dithiocarbamic acid as dope, extruding the melt or the solution, spinning, drawing and heat-treating.

CONSTITUTION: Melt or a solution of a hydrophilic resin containing a metallic salt compound of a specific dithiocarbamic acid (e.g., copper dimethyldithiocarbamate) shown by the formula (R1 and R2 are alkyl, phenyl, alkylphenyl, halogenophenyl, nitrophenyl, chloroalkyl, H or R1 and R2 are bonded to form hetero ring; M1 is Zn, Fe, Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni or Mn) is used as dope and the solution is extruded from a nozzle, spun, then drawn and heat- treated to give aimed yarn containing the compound shown by the formula in the interior of the yarn.
