To provide a yarn winder and a manufacturing method for a yarn package, capable of keeping a favorable form of a yarn package, winding a yarn at higher speed, easily coping with various forms of yarns, automatically setting suitable operating conditions, easily managing maintenance for the winder, and always obtaining a yarn package of a desired form.
This yarn winder is provided with a bobbin holder for mounting a bobbin for winding a yarn, a driving means A for driving the bobbin holder to be rotated, a traverse means for traversing the yarn, a driving means B for the traverse means, a touch roll rotating in contact with a yarn package wound up on the bobbin, a driving means C for the touch roll, a pressing means for pressing the touch roll to the yarn package, measuring means for measuring the winding form of the package, and a means for changing at least one of operating conditions of the driving means A-C and the pressing means according to the measured value of the measuring means. This yarn package manufacturing method adopts the above yarn winder.
