The yarn winder 1 comprises a bobbin holder 13 which is supported by a body frame 10 with a bobbin 20 attached thereto, an elevating/lowering frame 11 supported by the body frame 10 movably in the vertical direction, a contact roller 15 which is arranged parallel to the bobbin holder 13 and brought into contact with the bobbin 20 or an outer circumferential surface of a package 21 formed on the bobbin 20, a supporting plate 22 which is provided on the elevating/lowering frame 11 movably in the vertical direction, and rotatably supports the contact roller 15, and a guide unit 25 for guiding the supporting plate 22 in the vertical direction with respect to the elevating/lowering frame 11.
