To provide a yarn winding device and a lot changing method reducing a workload on an operator for removing a yarn supply bobbin before changing a lot, when changing the lot.
A winding unit 1 includes a bobbin support section 10, a bobbin supply section 11, a winding section 12, a yarn amount deciding section and a controller 80. The support section 10 supports the yarn supply bobbin 3. The supply section 11 holds a plurality of bobbins 3 and sequentially supplies the bobbins 3 to the support section 10. The winding section 12 winds yarn Y of the bobbin 3 as a package 6. The yarn amount deciding section decides the yarn amount of the yarn Y wound as the package 6. When lot change information is input and the yarn amount decided by the yarn amount deciding section reaches a yarn amount corresponding to full winding of the package 6, the controller 80 makes the winding section 12 stop an operation of winding the yarn Y and makes the support section 10 execute an operation of discharging the bobbin 3.
