Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a revolutionary limit control performance by obtaining a full neutral steering characteristic for approximately equally transiting side slip angles at front and rear parts of a vehicle in any traveling condition.
SOLUTION: This device comprises an actual yaw moment detection means 23 for detecting an actual yaw moment; a target yaw moment calculation means 22 for finding a target moment, which is required for vehicle behaviors; and an action instructing means for actuating a yaw moment generating mechanism 21 to output the yaw moment by a difference between the target yaw moment and the actual yaw moment, and also has a target lateral force calculation means for finding a target lateral force of the front and rear wheels from slip angles of the front and rear wheels based on a target tire characteristic by presetting the target yaw moment calculation means 22. The target yaw moment is found from the target lateral force of the front and rear wheels, and the target tire characteristic of the front wheel is different from the target tire characteristic of the rear wheel.
