To provide a yawing momentum control device for vehicle capable of reducing excessive yawing momentum at the time of emergency avoidance such as lane change by steep steering and enhancing the converging characteristic into the straight run.
A yawing momentum control device based upon the feedback control is equipped with a first target yawing momentum setting means c1 to set the target yawing momentum on the basis at least of signals given by a steering angle sensing means b1 and a vehicle speed sensing means b2, an emergency avoidance judging means (e) to sense existence of an emergency avoidance condition, and a target yawing momentum changeover means (f) which decides the control target value on the first target yawing momentum if no emergency avoidance condition is judged and decides on a value near zero in the straight running condition if judgement is such that an emergency avoidance condition exists.
