To allow even a beginner to enjoy a yo-yo with increased rotation by a method wherein each of hollow disk bodies forming a pair of yo-yo half bodies is provided with a path running through the diameter thereof and a spring body and a weight are housed.
This yo-yo is so arranged to fix a pair of yo-yo half bodies, namely, a pair of hollow disk bodies on a shaft of the center of rotation. Each of the hollow disk bodies is constituted of a disk body 10 and a lid part detachably fitted thereinto. The disk body 10 is made up of an outer circumferential wall 10a and an inner circumferential wall 10c, a fitting groove 10b is formed therebetween to make a fitting part of the lid part and a path 3 is formed running through the diameter of the disks from the inner circumference of the inner circumferential wall 10c. The path 3 is divided into two in contact with the outer circumferential surface of a cylinder wall 40 formed at the center of the disks. The cylinder wall 40 is provided with a threaded part to link the pair of the disk bodies with a bolt nut 41. A spring body 5 and a weight (steel ball) 6 are detachably mounted in the path 3. With the rotation of the yo-yo, a centrifugal force works on the weight 6 to be moved outward against the spring body 5. A rotating force is applied to the yo-yo and even a beginner can move it vertically with ease.
