PURPOSE: To conveniently and promptly extract and copy the necessary image density portion for the image analysis of X-ray photography, image sensing and ultrared color photography by repeatedly exposing a photosensitive element of three- layer construction to a preset original image.
CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive element 1, which is composed of a conductive support 11, a photoconductive layer 12 and an insulated surface layer 13, is discharged by a pre-discharging exposer 11 and then has its whole surface electrified by a primary charger 12. Then, the photosensitive element 1 is subjected to slit exposure with the image of an original 0 from original scanning systems 19 to 25 at an exposing unit 29 and is simultaneously discharged by a discharger 23. After that, the photosensitive element 1 is subjected at a second exposer 14 to the original image which has its light quantity controlled to a preset level by first and second filter sets 27 and 28. The resultant potential image is visualized by a developer of any color of a developing device 16. The image thus developed is transferred by a transfer charger 34 to the transfer paper being conveyed on a transfer drum 17, and the photosensitive element 1 is cleaned by a cleaning device 18.
