Abstract:
To provide a new zerumbone derivative and its manufacturing method.
The method of manufacturing an optically active monoepoxyzerumbol and an optically active bisepoxyzerumbol includes a process in which an optically active serumbol is reacted with t-butylhydroxy peroxide and an optically active tartaric acid diester in the presence of a titanium catalyst, then its acid component is removed, and its solvent is removed at a temperature of 40°C or below. Also, a new optically active monoepoxyzerumbol, an optically active bisepoxy-6, 7-dihydroxyzerumbol, an optically active triepoxyzerumbol, an allenezerumbone, and their derivatives are provided.
