Abstract:
To obtain a catalyst composition free from a disadvantage of reduction in activity when a polysiloxane is used.
This Ziegler-Natta type catalyst composition suitable for an olefin polymerization is produced by (A) a process for bringing an inorganic metal oxide of precipitated magnesium compound into contact with a tetravalent titanium compound, (B) optionally, a process for bringing an intermediate obtained by the method into contact with an electron donor and (C) a process for bringing the intermediate obtained by the process (A) or the process (B) into contact with a polysiloxane. This method for polymerizing or copolymerizing an olefin in the presence of an aluminum compound as a cocatalyst is provided.
