Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent infiltration of rainwater into a clearance between plain tiles laid zigzag on a backing material of a roof, and upper stage plain tiles adjacently laid in the upper stage.
SOLUTION: The zigzag-laid plain tile comprises a tile body 11 composed of a tail part A, a head part B, an insertion part C and a batten part D. The surface 20 of the tail part A is provided with a tail part flashing 30, and the batten part D side portion of the tail part flashing 30 is provided with a raised part 36 raised higher than the other portion of the tail part flashing 30. The raised part 36 prevents infiltration of rainwater blown up into a clearance between the tile body 11 and the upper plain tile 11a laid in an oblique upper stage position in a rainstorm.
