Title:
ZINC ALLOY PLATED STEEL SHEET AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0711479
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain excellent plating adhesion even under the severe conditions where a zinc alloy electroplated steel sheet, to which three-coat coating for automobile is applied, is liable to cause the peeling off of a plating layer due to pebbles and rock salt in a cold district.

CONSTITUTION: The surface of a steel sheet 1 is coated with a nickel alloy at (1 to 1000)mg/m2 nickel coating weight. The nickel alloy coated steel sheet is heated, by which a part or the whole of the nickel alloy is allowed to diffuse and penetrate into the steel sheet and a nickel diffused region 2 where nickel coating weight is regulated to (1 to 1000)mg/m2 is formed. A zinc alloy plating layer 3 is formed on the above. This steel sheet has superior low temp. chipping resistance.
