Title:
ZINC-ALUMINUM ALLOY PLATED STEEL SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000104153
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a plated steel sheet excellent in the corrosion resistance of the bending worked part and the cut end edge part in the case of being applied with coating by forming an alloy plating layer contg. specified weight ratios of aluminum, magnesium and silicon, and the balance essential alloy.

This steel sheet is the one applied with plating contg., by weight, 25 to 75% aluminum, 1.0 to 5.0% magnesium and silicon of 0.5% to the content of aluminum, and the balance zinc. In the case the steel sheet is applied with the alloy plating, a means of dipping the steel sheet to form into a base material into a hot dip metallic bath contg. zinc, aluminum magnesium and silicon by the blending ratios the same as those in the compsn. of the desired plating layer is used. As to the plating layer forming conditions at this time, e.g. the steel sheet is dippted into the hot dip metallic bath heated at 550 to 650°C for 1 to 10 sec and is cooled at a rate of 20 to 40°C/sec. By the incorporation of 1.0 to 5.0% magnesium, the elution of zinc from the alloy plating layer in a corrosive atmosphere is suppressed.
