Abstract:
To produce and provide a rustproof agent with excellent rustproof effects and dispersion stability, capable of dispersing zinc-based rustproof particles in a medium in a high concentration and with a fine dispersion diameter.
A method for producing the zinc-based rustproof dispersion in which the zinc-based rustproof particles are stably dispersed in a water-soluble medium comprises steps of (1) coating the surface of the zinc-based rustproof particles with silica, (2) dispersing the silica-coated rustproof particles in the water-soluble medium, and (3) preparing the zinc-based rustproof particle dispersion through steps (1) and (2). The rustproof agent and a rustproof coating comprise the zinc-based rustproof particle dispersion.
