Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the conventional problem that the shortening of leaching time and the reduction of construction cost are required in the conventional method for leaching zinc concentrate because it takes a long time to carry out zinc leaching and a pressure vessel, such as an autoclave, is necessary to accelerate oxidation reaction and construction cost becomes increased. SOLUTION: The leaching is performed while stripping sulfur, etc., as elementary substances formed on the surface of the zinc concentrate by using a pulverizer, such as a ball mill. Trivalent iron ions consumed at the leaching can be regenerated by introducing oxygen into the liquid after leaching in a liquid supply pipe and can be subjected to repeated use. By this leaching method, leaching time can be greatly shortened and the necessity of the pressure vessel, such as autoclave, can be obviated.
