Abstract:
To provide a zinc foil that can realize a battery with reduced voltage drop even when discharged at a high rate.SOLUTION: A zinc foil has an arithmetic mean roughness Ra of at least 1.0 μm or more and 6.0 μm or less on at least one side and a maximum height Rz of at least 6.0 μm or more and 35.0 μm or less on at least one side, as measured according to JIS B0601-2001. This zinc foil is manufactured by a method of reducing and depositing zinc. An electrolytic solution having a zinc concentration of 1 g/L or more and less than 50 g/L is used as an electrolytic solution. Reduction is performed while the electrolyte is circulated at a circulation rate of 0.001 L/(min mm2) or more and 1 L/(min mm2) or less. The current density for the reduction is set to be greater than 3000 A/m2 and 10000 A/m2 or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
