Abstract:
To provide formulations effective in treating or preventing diseases or conditions associated with zinc deficiency by finding a novel factor enhancing the expression of zinc transporter ZIP involved in improved intracellular zinc uptake and intracellular zinc levels.SOLUTION: The present invention provides an expression promoter for zinc transporter ZIP, which contains Brasenia schreberi Gmel. extract and/or Nelumbo nucifera extract as active ingredients, a promoter for uptaking zinc into cells, and a composition for promoting zinc uptake into cells, which contains Brasenia schreberi Gmel. extract and/or Nelumbo nucifera extract. The present invention enables expression control of a zinc transporter also involved in stem cell proliferation and differentiation, and is effective in the treatment or prevention of diseases or conditions associated with zinc deficiency.SELECTED DRAWING: None
