Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture a zipper for a reclosable thermoplastic bag imparting a vibratory or bumpy feel perceptible to the touch when the bag is closed and/or imparting an audible closing sound during the time when the bag is closed, by which closing can be checked preferably by the sound and touch in addition to a visual closure inspection required for conventional zipper structures.
CONSTITUTION: A zipper used suitably as a closure for a reclosable thermoplastic bag includes two opposing ribs 14 and groove profiles 11 and 13 extended vertically and interlocked each other, and at least one profile is structurally discontinuous along its length and provided with a section to be interlocked with the opposing profile and extended vertically and not to be combined substantially with the opposing zipper profile when being interlocked with the opposing zipper profile.
