Abstract:
PURPOSE: To manufacture the zirconium alloy having excellent stress corrosion cracking resistance in nitric acid by preparing a zirconium alloy contg. specified ratio of Ta.
CONSTITUTION: A zirconium alloy contg., by weight, 1 to 20% Ta, furthermore contg. at need, 1 to 30% Ti and the balance Zr with inevitable impurities is prepd. In this way, the zirconium alloy having improved stress corrosion cracking resistance in nitric acid, particularly in nitric acid of azeotropic concn. or above can be obtd., which is suitable as a structural material for apparatus treating nitric acid.
