Abstract:

To provide a zirconium alloy having sufficient uniform corrosion resistance, small in the quantity of hydrogen to be absorbed and suitable for a nuclear fuel cladding pipe and a nuclear fuel structural member and to provide a method for producing the same.

This zirconium alloy contains, by mass, 0.3 to 0.9% Sn, 0.15 to 0.4% Fe, 0.12% or less S, Cr, 0.001 to 0.1% Ni, 0.05 to 0.5% Nb, 0.008 to 0.018% Si, 0.005% or less N, and the balance Zr with impurities, and the method for producing the same is provided.
