Abstract:
PURPOSE:To secure high tracking accuracy without decreasing the zooming speed is obtained corresponding to a zoom position, and controlling the rotating speed of a zoom motor. CONSTITUTION:A 2nd group lens 22 is driven by a zoom motor 28to shift in position momentarily and when a zoom position detection part 30 judges that the 2nd group lens 22 reaches a point A where the inclination of a tracking curve increases abruptly from the information of a zoom encoder 27, a zoom speed determination part 34 determines a driving condition for decreasing the zoom speed; and the rotating speed of the zoom motor 28 is decreased to decrease the inclination of the tracking curve, i.e. f/ v. Further, the zooming speed is decreased stepwise toward the telephoto end to perform the zooming operation up to the telephoto end point E without increasing the inclination value of the tracking curve.
